A New Way to prevent future AI takeover?

Quite recently, the European Union has passed a new plan to prevent the possible takeover of machines that are often presented in science fiction movies. The Artificial Intelligence dystopia is the idea that machines and ai will take over by becoming the superior race to humans. There is a belief that if humans make machines quite smart they will soon learn to disobey their creator and overpower them with their massive intellect. As you may have heard numerous amount of times, "AI has taken off" and we are not quite sure when this will happen again. While we have not yet reached maximum AI potential, we are quite close, so this future may happen quicker than you think. Europe has a new plan to regulate the AI companies' research by fining companies millions of euros (currency) that break rules on surveillance and discrimination.
