Quite recently, a team at Stanford University created an AI-powered brace in order to help people run faster. The purpose of this brace was to help the disabled and elderly reach places at a quicker pace through an easy click-on brace. AI is used to help optimize the exoskeleton speed as it's harder to manually control the speed of the brace at every moment of time. This is another recent example of how artificial intelligence can be incorporated into our daily lives, and not just for simplicity but for other's well-being.
An exoskeleton is a mechanical covering for a certain part of the body that provides support and helpful protection. In this specific application, it is a leg exoskeleton.
